Over the last few decades many jobs have become much more complicated and have expanded to include more responsibilities as technology allows workers to be more productive and informed than ever before. With the increase in responsibility and productivity these positions have also seen a corresponding increase in compensation that make them some of the most competitive positions in the job market. A pharmacy technician salary for instance has seen a substantial increase over the last few years due to increase training and schooling requirements. Working as a pharmacy technician also tends to offer room for advancement with many pharmacy technicians choosing to continue to their schooling in order make employment advances. After you have complete your training and schooling your next step is to find a job working as a pharmacy tech. If you made some connections while working as an intern you can follow those up or you can pound the pavement like most other people in the job market. When you are looking for a job as a pharmacy tech your first instinct will be to apply at the pharmacies in your area but you should also be sure not to overlook other potential employment opportunities, such as hospitals or drug companies. When job hunting you should also make sue that you take advantage of any and all contacts that you have, such as friends that work in pharmacies or other part of the medical field. You can even start applying for positions well before you graduate so that you will be ahead of the game when you finally do get out of school and make your way into the working world.
