Owning a Cat
Owning a cat can have numerous benefits, specifically health related. These include a reduced likelyhood of heart disease, as your cat will likely keep you active throughout the day, with regard to feeding it, caring for it and getting it exercise. This increased exercise will not only keep your heart healthy, but will help to reduce your blood pressure and cholesterol. Having a cat can also help reduce stress, as you will have a companion around you at all times, which can be especially important if you are living alone and need some company. Also, the joy of owning a cat in general will help to reduce your stress level as well. Of course health benefits are not the only pros of owning a cat, as you will discover, a cat can be a welcome addition to your life as well as make your life more interesting.
