Clintondale Football
The Clintondale Dragon’s football team is located in Clintondale, MI and recently wrapped up their season, with a record of 5-4 for the 2011 season. They are lead by head coach Dave Schindler, defensive coordinator Jason Machalak and four assistant coaches (Andy Scheel, Mike Ward, Joe Ebben and Bob Walmsley). The first college bound Dragon was Billy Harris in 1966, followed by Richard Kluge, Ray Nester and Greg Tomczak. In 2010, 3 players went on to college, which were Michael Johnson, Laterius Walton and Derek Fields. The team runs a program called the Champions Club, which encourages total commitment of athletes on and off the field. To qualify, the athlete needs to practice good attendance, be eligible to participate for the entire season, show up for weight lifting and make good decisions.
