An Inexpensive Sport
Unlike most sports, tennis is an activity that can be played without much of a financial investment. All you really need is a racket and a few balls and anything else you need you can probably make or find yourself, such as a ball carrier made out of old window treatments for sliding glass doors. Of course it would be nice to have a top of the line racket and one of those fancy machines that shoots the ball over the net to you but those are by no means a requirement. Playing tennis is in many ways like playing backyard football or a pickup basketball game with some friend, you just take what you have and go. Even if you want to have a new racket or new tennis balls they can usually be had rather cheaply at almost any large retail store in your area, though you can purchase them online if you want as well.
